Challenging yourself with your running


It's nice to challenge yourself sometimes when you are running, and that's exactly what I did this morning. My first two miles were a bit slower than my usual pace, so when I went to start my third mile I kicked it up a notch. I forced myself to run faster, pushing it to see what I could do. I ended up setting a new one-mile record for me! Yay! 

This is great, because when I started my running program in December 2015, I was running 15-minute miles. I've gradually lowered my pace in that time, as well as have dropped 36 pounds from the running. I believe that once the weather cools down more here in Florida I will flirt with a 10-minute mile. Looking forward to the challenge!
